The online workshop “The EU AI Act and EU-Funded Research Projects” was successfully held on 7 May 2026.
As partners in this initiative, we were pleased to contribute to a timely and engaging discussion on the implications of the EU AI Act for EU-funded research. The session brought together different perspectives on regulatory challenges, practical implications, and good practices for teams developing or deploying AI systems.
A special thank you to Argyro (Iro) Chatzopoulou, who represented the CURIUM Project and contributed valuable insights to the discussion.
We would also like to warmly thank our co-organisers, the SYNAPSE Project, CONSENTIS Project, and PANDORA Horizon Europe Project, as well as all speakers and participants for their engagement throughout the session.
For those who were unable to attend, or who would like to revisit the discussion, the recording is available here:
We are glad to have been part of this important exchange on trustworthy and responsible AI in Europe.
