CURIUM at IOSEC 2026: Strengthening Cyber Resilience and CRA Awareness

CURIUM participated in IOSEC 2026  –  the International Workshop on Information & Operational Technology Security, held from 3–5 August 2026 in Lisbon, Portugal, as part of the 6th IEEE International Conference on Cyber Security and Resilience (IEEE CSR 2026).

The workshop brought together researchers, practitioners and European research initiatives to exchange knowledge and discuss current and emerging challenges in Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) security. Topics addressed during the event included cybersecurity and resilience, secure software development, AI and machine learning in cybersecurity, vulnerability and risk assessment, cybersecurity certification, threat intelligence, identity management and privacy-enhancing technologies.

Kostas Lampropoulos, Senior Security Engineer at p-NET and member of the CURIUM team, served as Workshop Chair and contributed to the joint IOSEC & CRIRM training session with a presentation focusing on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) and the Cybersecurity Act (CSA).

His presentation addressed the evolving European cybersecurity regulatory landscape and provided participants with insights into the requirements and implications of these key pieces of EU legislation. The session closely aligned with CURIUM’s work in supporting organisations, particularly SMEs, in strengthening cybersecurity resilience and navigating the requirements of the Cyber Resilience Act.

IOSEC 2026 was supported by a broad network of collaborating European research projects and initiatives, including CURIUM, CUSTODES, CONSOLE, 6G-XCEL, CONSENTIS, CyberSecDome, SAND5G, NATWORK, INTACT and SYNAPSE.

CURIUM’s participation in IOSEC 2026 provided an opportunity to share knowledge developed through the project, contribute to capacity-building activities around the CRA, and engage with the wider European cybersecurity research and innovation community.
